After nearly six weeks of listening to campaign platforms and promises, voters across the province have their say today. Polls open at 9 a-m with recent public opinion polls suggesting the Liberals were in a virtual tie with the Progressive Conservatives, with the New Democrats just behind. All three major party leaders have campaign events today before heading to their ridings to await the results after the polls close at 9 p-m. There are 107 ridings at stake in the election. In the last legislative session the Liberals held 48, the Progressive Conservatives had 37, the N-D-P held 21, and there was one vacant seat.
