Downtown Kitchener’s oldest building has a new owner

The corner of King and Queen Streets, known as the American Block, has a new owner and they plan to do some work.

The Revel Development Corporation has purchased part of the American Block. Built in the 1860s, the portion bought by Revel currently houses three businesses on the first floor while two upper floors are vacant.

The Record reports that those upper floors will be renovated with high-tech firms being targeted as potential tenants.
