Waterloo man facing charges in hit and run

A Waterloo man is being held for a bail hearing and faces several charges after a hit and run Saturday morning in Kitchener.
Regional Police say a small car and pick up truck collided at the intersection of Wellington Street North and Shirley Avenue at 8:45AM.
The male driver of the car — which was previously reported stolen — ran away and was arrested by police shortly after.
The 25-year-old man faces charges of failing to remain at the scene, dangerous driving, driving while suspended, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and breaching probation.
Neither driver was injured.
