Regional Police’s Spring Auction

When they can’t find ownership of a lost item – they auction it all off.
Waterloo Regional Police will be having their spring auction this morning at 9:00 AM.
The auction will be taking place at 5100 fountain St, N in Breslaw.
Staff Sgt. Shaena Morris tells 570 news they auction off items that have come through their lost and found over the past year.
“A lot of people use this auction to buy their bikes for the year because there are some good deals and higher end items are usually available.”
Morris says income generated from the auction is expected to be over $10,000.
“Any amount 10 thousand dollars and less is given to the police service board. Any amount over 10 thousand dollars is transferred to the police service’s board investigative fund. That money is used to fund various investigations that come up through the year.”
Items are sold as is and they accept cash, debit and major charge cards.
