GRCA ends flood watches and warnings

The Grand River Conservation Authority has ended its flood watches and warnings issued over the past two weeks.

Water levels in the Lower Grand River are expected to drop later in the day. Flows are receding across the entire Grand River watershed and will continue to drop over the next few days.

Levels in the Conestogo, Belwood and Guelph reservoirs are also back to their normal operating range for this time of year.

Some roads that were closed reopened over the next few days by municipal staff. That includes Three Bridges Road near St. Jacobs in Woolwich Township, Black Bridge Road in Cambridge and Grand Sports Road in Haldimand County.

The GRCA says they will continue to monitor conditions closely.
