Cambridge high school teacher convicted of sexual exploitation

A Cambridge high school teacher has been convicted of sexual exploitation.

33-year-old Jacqueline Lavigne, a teacher at Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School, was convicted following a trial in February.

She was accused of having sex with a drunken 17-year-old student.

This morning’s Record reports, Lavigne is now on unpaid leave as the case makes its way to the Ontario College of Teachers.

Sentencing is scheduled for June.
