Tonight, there will be a public participation meeting surrounding the possible closure of St. Agatha Catholic School after a committee voted 8-6 to close the school back on April 1st.
The preferred option will be presented at the meeting, and officials hope to garner feedback from parents.
The preferred option includes closing the school and moving students to neighbouring schools including St. Clement’s, St. Nicholas Catholic School, Holy Family Catholic Elementary School and Holy Rosary Catholic Elementary School.
A final decision on the future of the school will be made by the Board of Trustees in June.
The meeting gets underway at 4 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
