Collecting storm debris

The melting snow is revealing left over debris from December’s ice storm, and the Region wants to help you remove the waste from your lawn.
Yard waste collection is every other week on your regular collection day. Next week yard waste will be collected in Kitchener and Wilmot. The following week it will be collected in Cambridge, Waterloo, North Dumfries, Wellesley and Woolwich.
The Region asks that tree debris be under three feet in length and less than three inches in diameter. It should be bundled and tied with twine, and weigh less than fifty pounds.You can place it in kraft paper bags or a garbage can with a Region Yard Waste sticker or bright ribbon. Branches in plastic bags will not be picked up.
Waste should be out by 7:00 AM on your regular collection day.
Additionally tree debris can be dropped off at the Cambridge or Waterloo transfer stations. Tipping fees will be waived until May the 3rd for loads only containing brush and branches.
