Cambridge Memorial Hospital restricting access after outbreak

Cambridge Memorial Hospital is now restricting access to it’s medicine inpatient unit after a gastrointestinal outbreak last week.
Officials say only people with symptoms of the illness will be admitted, and they include vomiting and diarrhea.
An outbreak was also declared at the Freeport site of Grand River Hospital, and access is limited there as well.
Officials say affected staff are being sent home, and they’re doing a thorough cleaning of all units to ensure the virus does not spread.
