One person hurt in Kitchener fire

One person was sent to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation following a fire in Kitchener.
Police and fire crews were called to a home on Mountain Laurel Crescent on Wednesday afternoon.
A pot of oil that was left unattended caught fire. The fire spread to the cabinets before fire crews were able to extinguish the flames.
Fire and smoke damage is estimated at $30,000.
