A public memorial will be held today for Kayla Baker.
It will take place from 1 until 5pm at the Knights of Columbus on Speedsville Road in Cambridge.
The Cambridge teen died on New Year’s Day at Toronto’s Sick Kids Hospital.
She had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the last three years.
Baker underwent a single lung transplant back in April, but later in the year doctors told her the cancer had returned and that she would not be able to go home.
Her family will be holding a private service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, her family is asking you consider making a donation to Sick Kids Foundation/ Run aLung or registering to become an organ donor.
