Local snow clearing efforts continue as parking ban remains in effect

Snow is expected to be removed by this evening in Cambridge, Kitchener, and Waterloo.
The City of Cambridge had crews working since Sunday when the snow began to fall, and has a full fleet on the roads with 23 plows, 6 sanding trucks, 5 loaders, and 7 side walk trackers clearing snow.
Full snow removal efforts will continue Monday evening and into the early hours of Tuesday morning.
City of Waterloo’s parking ban has been extended through to the early hours Tuesday. Parking is not permitted on the streets between 2:30 am and 6:00 am and city staff ask the public to ensure their cars are off the street in order to facilitate the safe and quick removal of the snow.

In Kitchener the Snow Event will remain until snow is cleared, most likely by 4:00 PM this afternoon.
Manager of Maintenance Operations, Scott Berry, urges drivers to keep their vehicles off the road so they can clean the road.
Waterloo also had crews out since 2:00 AM, according to Megan Harris, Director of Communication and Marketing.
Vehicles in all three cities are asked to not be parked on the road, so plows can clear as much snow as possible.
One vehicle was towed and 64 tickets were written in Kitchener as of Monday morning.
