August Weather Kept Us Guessing

If you think that last month’s weather was all over the scale, well in fact it was.

That is according to numbers out of the University of Waterloo’s Weather Station.

They say August was a months of two halves with the first half having cooler daytime highs while temperatures rose during the second half, putting the overall temperature 0.6 degrees above average.

The start of the month was also a soggy one with close to 30 mm in the first 2 days, nearly half the months total amount.

However, the University of Waterloo says there was also a period of 17 days where we had less than 5 millimetres of rain, but a few storms late in the month put the total just into the average range.
