Environment Canada issues special weather statement

A huge swath of southern Ontario is under a special weather statement this morning, including Waterloo Region.
Environment Canada has issued the statement for an area stretching from southwestern Ontario to the eastern part of the province.
It warns of thunderstorms and rain heavy at times early this morning, especially in the Windsor to Sarnia area.
For the rest of the province, dense fog is the concern.
The fog is expected to lift mid-morning.
