Man faces theft charges after incident at Kitchener Zehrs

A theft complaint at a Kitchener Zehrs store morphed into a police pursuit.
Police say a suspect fled from the store on Weber Street East just after 11 yesterday morning.
Police say a brief chase was called off for safety reasons, but the vehicle was abandoned a short time later and the suspect fled on foot along a trail.
An arrest was later made.
One man faces numerous charges including theft, possession of stolen property, flight from police and dangerous driving.
