Three males have been arrested by Guelph Police after a 45 minute “hold and secure” at 5 area schools Wednesday.
A male sitting in the parking lot at Our Lady of Lourdes High School flashed what appeared to be a handgun to several students.
Five area schools, including Our Lady of Lourdes, were placed in a ‘hold and secure’ mode for about 45 minutes following the sighting.
The vehicle had left the parking lot by the time police arrived on scene.
Tactical officers set up a road block on Claire Road where a high risk take down of the vehicle was performed and the three males were apprehended.
Sergeant Doug Pflug with Guelph Police says the three men arrested are between 16 to 17 years-of-age and are not students at Our Lady of Lourdes.
An ‘Airsoft’ replica Smith & Wesson revolver was later seized at a residence on Wellington Road 30.
The investigation is ongoing.
