Water main flushing

The City of Waterloo preformed water main flushing to combat discoloured water last night, and could continue doing so over the weekend.
Staff have been flushing the water mains to get rid of iron and manganese deposits.
There’s been a number incidents in the Old Stone Road, Green Acres Drive and Grant Crescent area of Waterloo.
If at anytime you notice that your water is starting to discolour, you should stop using it, wait an hour then let a hard cold water tap to run for a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes until the water clears.
