Fifth arrest made in Project Recover

Regional Police have charged a 5th person in what is being called “Project Recover” in an investigation into a break and enter mid-February in Cambridge, where firearms were stolen from a Cambridge home.

36-year-old Tavistock man, Frank Stuart Strauss, has been arrested and additional guns and ammo were discovered in the process. Police allege Strauss is a member of the London chapter of the Hell’s Angles.

Strauss appeared in court yesterday, and was remanded in custody.

Police have put on display the 25 guns they have recovered, as well, as quantities of drugs and money. Police say 3 additional firearms remain unaccounted for.

Inspector Greg Lamport says police are very pleased to have made this discovery, “through extensive work by our investigators, and… it is a substantial amount of drugs, weapons, and also cash that has been seized.”

On top of the 25 guns, over 14,400 rounds of ammunition, close to $29, 000 in cash, and an estimated  $852,000 in illegal drugs were seized over a number of searches. The drugs seized include 10 kilograms of cocaine, 118 pounds of dried marijuana, 160 marijuana plants, 4 ounces  of crystal methamphetamine, 2 vials of hash oil, and 31 ecstasy pills.

The four previously arrested people are; 23-year-old Keith Harold Faria, 39-year-old Brian Roscoe Quackenbush, 37-year-old Patricia Christine Stanford, all from Cambridge and all charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property over $5000 and Trafficking in Firearms. Also, a 29-year-old Kitchener man, Jordan Paul Thomas, is charged with Trafficking in Firearms. Faria is remanded in custody with a next court date of March 26.
