Police identify people found dead in Kitchener home

Waterloo Regional Police have identified the two people found dead in a Mooregate Crescent townhouse, as 38-year-old Joanna Nowakowska and her daughter, 4-year-old Bianca Nowakowska.
Police were called to the home in the Victoria and Westmount area of Kitchener at around 8:30 last night.
Regional Police Inspector Kevin Thaler tells 570 News the deaths are considered suspicious. “The bodies have since been removed from the scene,” Thaler says. “A post-mortem examination has been scheduled today in Hamilton.”
Thaler says police are not seeking any suspects right now and, “there are no threats to public safety.”
Still, neighbours are reacting with shock and fear. One of the next door neighbours, who asked not to be identified, tells 570 News that she is considering moving. “I don’t know what to say. Last night I couldn’t sleep,” she says.
She says she didn’t know her neighbours very well, other than through a passing greeting. However she says there was a woman and two girls living in the home.
