The City of Cambridge will provide an update today on efforts to revise its official plan.
The process has been ongoing for two years with much of it involving gathering input from residents, organizations and businesses. It’s expected the final draft of the official plan will go before council for approval in the spring.
If approved, it would then go to Regional Council for its okay. The city’s Senior Planner, Paul Smithson, says “We are listening. We’ve had about 80 comments thus far and have reviewed them thoroughly and where appropriate, added them to the OP update.”
Today’s meeting is for information purposes and there will be no delegations. It’s taking place at City Hall starting at 1 p.m.
The city will then hold a special General Committee meeting next Tuesday to discuss the latest draft and at this time delegations will be allowed.
The February 21st meeting will take place at 7 p.m., also in the council chambers.
