A close to three year legal battle between the City of Kitchener and Everest College appears to be over.
The city says it has reached a settlement with the school, which had been suing the city over the impact of the coal tar clean-up on its Gaukel Street campus.
The college argued the clean-up resulted in a drop in enrollment due to bad publicity and a foul smell.
The school rents the building from the city.
Details of the settlement are not being released, but the college had been suing for over $800,000.
