Suspect arrested in afternoon robberies

Police have arrested a suspect after a pair of robberies in Kitchener this afternoon.
The robberies occurred within ten minutes of each other, the first was at a pharmacy on Park Street, the other happened at an apartment on York Street.
There was a heavy police presence on Victoria Street this afternoon and that’s where police made the arrest.
One person also suffered minor injuries after confronting the suspect in the robbery on York Street.
Witnesses report the suspect was also armed with what looked like a hand gun.
