Sentencing after threatening e-mails

A former University of Waterloo student has been sentenced to eight months already spent in custody, plus two years probation in connection with a series of strange emails that had university students and staff on edge last year.
This morning’s Record reports 35-year-old Zamir Nathoo has pleaded guilty to criminal harassment.
The emails, which were sent out starting in February, targeted over 100 people.
Many of the emails were derogatory towards women, often blaming them for the ills of the world.
