Standoff ends peacefully

A standoff that dragged on for several hours has ended peacefully in Kitchener.
Regional Police are still working on the paperwork, but do say they surrounded a home on Doon Village Road near Bechtel Drive yesterday.
The standoff ended around 2 this morning.
Police were called out after receiving reports a man may have been inside the house armed with a gun.
There is no word on arrests or charges at this point.
