The 5th annual “Inspiring Women” event goes today at Bingemans.
The keynote speaker this year is Arlene Dickinson from the hit TV show Dragons’ Den.
Dickinson is the owner and CEO of Venture Communications and sits on the Advisory Committee of the Stratford Institute at U-W, and on the Leadership Council at the Perimeter Institute.
Olympic rower Silken Laumann also shares her story of courage and positive thinking.
The all day event also features appearances by Spice Goddess Bal Arneson from “The Food Network” and the co-inventor of Balderdash, Laura Robinson.
Local business leaders will also be well represented by both Robin Todd and Shevaun Voisin.
This year’s Inspiring Women “The Experience” event is put on by The Waterloo Region Small Business Centre and will be emcee’d by Lisa Drew of 570 News and Tara Connors from CHYM 96.7
