Rangers Captain named

Centre Michael Catenacci has been named Captain of the Kitchener Rangers for the 2011-12 season.
He tells 570 News following in the footsteps of Gabriel Landeskog and Dan Kelly is an amazing feeling.
Catenacci had 55 points in the 2010-11 regular season and another seven points in the playoffs.
Rangers General Manager and Head Coach, Steve Spott says Catenacci exudes all the qualities they look for in a captain, from the way he plays the game to the way he handles himself in the community.
The Rangers have also teamed up with Sun Life Financial on a two year partnership.
The key element of the sponsorship is the Kids In Gear program, which helps underprivileged kids get money and equipment to play hockey.
President of Sun Life, Kevin Dougherty tells 570 News the company will hold equipment drives at its local offices, a Skate With the Rangers event at the Aud, this January, and, “to encourage our team to be as great as they can be, for every single home goal that is scored, we’ll be adding some money to the program, making a donation by Sun Life.”
Dougherty adds fans will now see the Sun Life logo on the practice jerseys and at the arena, and Sun Life people in the community carrying the Kitchener Rangers flag.
