Regional Police warn of computer scam

Waterloo Regional Police are still receiving complaints about people being scammed via their computers.

They get a call from a business claiming their anti-virus software is out of date.

Once information is obtained, the scammers are then able to remotely access the home computer and some are able to obtain credit card information.

Police say you should always be cautious in providing any personal info over the phone.
