Stephen Hawking coming back to Waterloo

Stephen Hawking will be back in Waterloo Region this September.
The world’s most famous physicist and best-selling author will be in Waterloo for the Grand Opening of the Stephen Hawking Centre at the Perimeter Institute, September 16, 17th and 18th.
This will be Hawking’s second visit here. He spent last summer in Waterloo conducting research at the Perimeter Institute.
The opening of the new centre doubles the size of the Perimeter Institute, making it the largest centre of its kind in the world, devoted to cutting-edge scientific research and training.
Activities are being held in conjunction with Doors Open Waterloo Region the same weekend. Visitors can meet international scientists and tour the new 55-thousand square foot space.
Tickets will be available August 15th – September 2nd.
