Longtime local politician Will Ferguson will be laid to rest tomorrow.
Ferguson, who served as energy minister in the NDP government of Bob Rae, was 57.
He died Friday at his home after reportedly suffering from heart problems.
Ferguson also served on Regional and Kitchener city councils.
Ferguson is remembered as a politician who fought for ordinary people, but also had his own struggles, including several brushes with the law, for, among other things, impaired driving.
The funeral service is tomorrow evening at 7 at St. Joseph’s Church on Madison Avenue South in Kitchener.
