A Guelph man found out the hard way not to warn oncoming drivers of speed trap.
Guelph Police were doing traffic surveillance on Imperial road when they saw the 71 year old driver flashing his lights warning drivers of the upcoming speed trap.
An officer in an unmarked vehicle noticed the car and also noticed the validation sticker on its licence plate was expired.
The officer stopped the driver on the Hanlon. Investigation revealed his licence plates, as well as his driver’s licence, were expired.
The man was fined $435 for driving without a currently validated permit and driving without a licence.
