Summer Art Camp

It’s a summer camp for budding young artists.

The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery’s Summer Art Camp is back for another year.

Taking place at the Gallery, it runs from July 4th to August 12th and is open to children between the ages 7 – 13. The camp is run by local artists and educators Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m

Activities include working on self-portraits, stuffed paper bag puppets, still life drawings, paintings and watercolours. Plus, every week there will be an art show where the kids can show off their work to their family and friends.

Kate Carder-Thompson, an artist/educator at the gallery, tells 570 News there are still a few spots available and there are scholarships available for some students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.

To register, go to the art gallery’s website or call the art gallery.

www.kwag.ca or call 519-579-5860.
