Catholic School Enrolment drops

The Catholic School Board is expecting to lose around 315 students next year while the Public School Board anticipates gaining almost 400 students.

Lucia Harrison, Executive Director of the Kitchener Waterloo Multicultural Centre thinks that this could alter the number of staff employed within the Catholic School Board.

Harrison tells 570 news that a lot of new immigrants coming to Canada are now from the middle east.

Harrison believes that other School Boards throughout Ontario are likely facing the same scenario as the Catholic School Board here in Kitchener-Waterloo.
