Governor General in town

One week after he was in town to participate in a tribute to our soldiers and their families, Governor General David Johnston is back in Waterloo Region today.
He starts his day being honoured himself.
He will attend the official renaming of the University of Waterloo Research and Technology Park this morning.
It is now known as the David Johnston Research and Technology Park.
Prior to becoming governor general, Johnston served as president of the University of Waterloo.
Afterwards, he will give the keynote address at the opening of the inaugural Equinox Summit taking place at the Perimeter Institute.
The speech will be streamed live at 1pm at http://equinoxsummit.org.
The summit, which runs through Thursday, is a gathering of leading experts in energy and carbon emissions.
