A ‘meeting of the minds’ to discuss the importance of rapid transit in ‘Canada’s Technology Triangle’
The CTT hosted a luncheon at the Tannery Event Centre, where Paul Bedford stressed the importance of transit.
The Former Chief City Planner for the City of Toronto says transit shapes the way regions develop, and fixed rail attracts investment. He says the region must look towards the future.
Regional Planning Commissioner, Rob Horne says Waterloo Region has to be a ‘complete community’ and has to offer a high quality living experience.
He says the region is set to grow by another 200-thousand people, and it’s going to become more difficult to get around in traditional ways, and that transportation is increasing in importance.
