Guelph plant closing

150 people who work at a Guelph brake-pad manufacturing plant are losing their jobs.
Affinia Group is closing the Taggart Street plant by July.

The Guelph Mercury reports production instead will be done in India and China where it’s cheaper to make the parts.

The company says it’s taking steps to help the workers find new jobs.
