The first tornado of the year has been confirmed in the Fergus area.
The twister touched down during a series of powerful storms that swept thru southern ontario on april 27th.
The tornado was rated as a zero on the fujita scale with winds up to 110 kilometres per hour.
Ontario usually gets about 12 tornadoes a season – which runs from late april to early october.
