It doesn’t seem to matter that the calendar says it’s spring, the weather today will make it feel like mid-winter.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the region and 570 News Weather Specialist John Wilson is calling for 10 to 15 centimetres of wet snow with possible freezing rain and/or sleet.
He’s also calling for a stiff east wind and some blowing snow as well with a low near minus 4.
The guaranteed high of zero was at midnight.
570’s Mark Douglas was on the roads this morning too.
Wilson expects the snow to end around dark with some clearing but it will still be windy with blowing snow and a low of minus 11.
For Thursday, windy and cold with sunny breaks and a chance of flurries with some more blowing snow and a high of minus 5.
On Friday, sunny with a cold north wind, and a high of minus 1.
Saturday, mostly sunny and minus 2.
Sunday, sunny again and minus 1.
