Kitchener Mayor Carl Zehr has made his voice heard at conference of municipal leaders being held in Regina.
Mr. Zehr told the 350 delegates that a comprehensive funding plan for roads, water and other infrastructure in Canada’s towns and cities is essential but is beyond just one government and will require vision and leadership.
Mayors attending THE National meeting say Canadian municipalities have fallen $100 billion behind on needed infrastructure improvements.
Zehr is chairman of the big city mayors’ caucus of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
