Rough drive on the 401 Friday

It was a tough drive along the 401 for most of the day today.
Westbound lanes at James Snow Parkway were closed for more than an hour because of a multi-vehicle crash.
One of our Twitter followers reported about eight cars and a tractor trailer involved.
Earlier today, the highway was shut down in both directions at Guelph Line for several hours because of a jack-knifed tractor trailer.
All of the lanes have since reopened.
There were also a couple of minor issues in the region this morning, with a few separate crashes causing delays on the eastbound 401 around Highway 8 and Homer Watson.
