The Grand River Conservation Authority is on the lookout for local flooding as colder temperatures start settling back in.
The GRCA says river levels are receding after last weekend’s snow melt, but will remain higher than normal over the next week as runoff drains through the watershed.
Officials say they will continue to monitor conditions for ice jams that could cause localized flooding.
Parents are also encouraged to keep their kids and pets away from the banks of rivers and creeks because they are very slippery.
