Maxwell not on Team USA

Kitchener Rangers goalie Brandon Maxwell has been overlooked by the U-S World Junior team for a second consecutive year.

Maxwell was not among the names announced by USA Hockey today.

He has a goals against average of 3.28 and a save percentage of .908 through 18 starts this season.

Maxwell has won 12 of those starts.

Former Ranger Jeremy Morin will play for the Stars and Stripes after being given permission by the Chicago Blackhawks.

Morin was re-assigned to the AHL’s Rockford Ice Hogs yesterday.
