You will end up paying a lot more if you wait to fill up your gas tank on Thursday.

Gas prices are expected to rise by 4.4 cents a litre at midnight.

Gas Price Watcher and Liberal MP, Dan McTeague is calling it an over reaction to the markets.

The price of a barrel of January crude was worth over $86.00 on the markets on Wednesday afternoon.

McTeague says it’s possible we will be paying $1.20 a litre for gas by Christmas.
