Heart and Stroke smoking concerns

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario has some serious concerns about the province’s anti-smoking strategy.

The McGuinty government has decided not to follow through on the recommendations from a government-appointed panel – which include a call to ban smoking in rental apartment, on restaurant patios, and in parks and playgrounds.

Nadia Yee, a spokesperson for the Foundation tells 570 News however that her organization and a number of other health advocates, will urge the province to reconsider.
