The real estate market in Canada is alive and well, and the Kitchener-Waterloo area is leading the way.
That according to the Remax Market Trends Report, released today.
Among its many findings – our area is second only to Sudbury in sales of upper-end homes in Ontario in the past year.
It found sales in that market segment were up over 145 per cent from a year ago.
The report also found that the average home price in Kitchener-Waterloo is up 7.2 per cent from last year, to $300,774.00. Still, despite what it calls a “vastly improved” housing market over the last three months, sales are expected to return to normal levels in the final quarter of the year.
