Here’s another sure sign that fall has arrived.
The City of Kitchener opens its leaf drop off sites this Saturday.
In all there are nine locations scattered throughout the city.
The city also stresses these sites are for leaf drop off only and warn the locations will be monitored closely.
As for curbside leaf collection, it depends on where you live.
Here’s the list of leaf drop off locations:
Schaeffer Park (Bloomingdale Road).
Breithaupt Park (Kinsman Park – off Union Street).
Kitchener Auditorium (Ottawa Street North entrance).
Meinzinger Park Soccer Fields (Homer Watson Boulevard).
Lions Arena (Rittenhouse Road).
South West Optimist Sports Field (Pioneer Drive).
Cherry Park (Strange Street and Waverly Road).
Victoria Street South at Eastforest Trail (Eastforest Trail parking lot).
Hofstetter Park (40 Hofstetter Avenue).
These drop-off locations are for LEAVES ONLY. Drop-off sites will be monitored by city staff and a zero tolerance approach will be taken with any offenders found leaving other materials at the site.
