The Kitchener Rangers raise the curtain on the 2010-11 season tonight when they host the Spirit.
570 News has the pre-game show with Don Cameron and Mike Farwell at 7 o’clock.
Farwell will also have the post-game show at the end of the game.
The Rangers picked up a defender Jamie Doornbosch in a trade with the Petes this morning.
Kitchener also receives a late round draft pick and sends their 13th round pick in 2012 and 4th round pick in 2014 the other way.
Doornbosch put up 50 points including 12 goals last season.
Rangers General Manager and Head Coach, Steve Spott says the Spirit will be tough to play against tonight.
Kitchener will face former teammate Mavric Parks who will play net for Saginaw.
We also got an update from the team on defenceman Ben Fanelli’s status today.
He’s been doing some skating and workouts but has not yet been cleared by a doctor to take part in contact drills or scrimmages.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Kitchener Rangers product Andrew Crescenzi to a three-year entry level contract.
