Gehl hearing underway

The preliminary hearing for three men accused in the slaying last year of Nadia Gehl has started.

The 28 year old Kitchener woman was gunned down while walking to a bus stop in February 2009.

The shooting happened off Ottawa Street as Gehl was heading to work.

Her husband – Ron Cyr – is among the accused – and has always said he’s innocent.

There’s now a publication ban on the evidence presented in court as to not taint potential jurors.

One month has been set aside for the hearing.
