Wheelchair relay Sept. 25th

It’s time to get the wheels in gear for this year’s K-W Wheelchair Relay event.
Sheila O’Neill, from the Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario tells 570 News they’re hoping for fifteen teams to sign up this year for the fourth annual event, which shows what it’s like living in a wheelchair.
To preview the Relay, several candidates for this Fall’s local municipal election races showed up at Fairview Park Mall to give a wheelchair obstacle course a try.
O’Neill says this year’s event has already beaten last year’s fundraising of $10,000, thanks to the sponsors, so everything the sponsored teams bring in “will be gravy.”
The Relay happens Saturday, September 25, also in the parking lot at Fairview Park Mall.
