MCC helping Pakistan

The local Mennonite Central Committee wants residents of Waterloo Region to reach out to those struggling right now in Pakistan.
15 hundred people have been killed due to the massive flooding, some 20-million more are homeless.
The MCC is forwarding funds to trusted and experienced agencies working in Pakistan.
Donations can be made at MCC Thrift Stores and at the MCC office at 50 Kent in Kitchener.
Rick Cober Bauman is the Executive Director for MCC Ontario and tells 570 News although MCC does not have an office or staff in Pakistan, it has a history of relief and development efforts in the country.
He says it’s an opportunity to send a message of care to our brothers and sisters in a part of the world that too often gets a message of mistrust.
MCC is shipping a container of 2,000 relief kits from its current inventory but is not seeking contributions of soap and other hygiene products.
