Peter Fonda says he was blessed by the “passion and friendship” of hell-raising actor-director Dennis Hopper…
Fonda commented after Hopper died of prostate cancer in Los Angeles at the age of 74.
Hopper’s career soared in 1969 with “Easy Rider,” a low-budget counter-culture movie in which he starred and directed.
Fonda produced and also starred in “Easy Rider.”
Hopper, who had a long history of abusing drugs and alcohol, also appeared in such movies as “Rebel Without a Cause,” “Speed,” “Apocalypse Now,” and “True Grit.”
